Online Submission Only. All manuscripts must be submitted through the AJIR online submission system. AJIR does not accept manuscripts submitted via email.

Requirements for Submission

Authors must provide the following documents as separate files:

  1. Cover Letter — Addressed to the Editor-in-Chief; briefly describes the manuscript and confirms it has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  2. Title Page — Full title, all author names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, corresponding author contact details.
  3. Manuscript (Blinded) — Main manuscript with all author identifiers removed for double-blind review.
  4. Other Information — Funding sources, conflicts of interest, acknowledgements, author contributions.
  5. List of Recommended Reviewers — Optional: up to 5 suggested reviewers with email addresses (not from the same institution).
Manuscript Types
  • Original Research Articles — Full-length empirical or theoretical contributions.
  • Systematic Review Articles — Comprehensive, structured reviews of existing literature.
  • Letters / Short Communications — Concise reports of significant findings.
  • Priority Communications — Preliminary reports of significant, original work.
  • Commentary / Perspectives — Expert opinion pieces on emerging topics.
Manuscript Structure
1Abstract — 200–350 words. Structured: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion. No references or abbreviations.
2Keywords — 4–6 keywords, not duplicating words in the title.
3Introduction — Background, research gap, objectives, and significance.
4Materials and Methods — Detailed enough for replication. Include ethics approvals.
5Results and Discussion — Present findings and interpret in context of existing literature.
6Conclusions — Key findings, implications, limitations, and future directions.
7References — APA style. Minimum 20 references for research articles.
Formatting Requirements
  • File format: MS Word (.docx) or PDF
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12pt, double-spaced
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Page numbers: bottom center
  • Tables: numbered consecutively, with captions above
  • Figures: high resolution (300 dpi minimum), numbered consecutively, captions below

Peer Review Process

AJIR uses a double-blind peer review process. Every submitted manuscript is reviewed by at least two expert reviewers. The review timeline is:

  • Time to First Decision: 10 Days
  • Time to Review: 2 Months
  • Acceptance to Publication: 2 Weeks
Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts are screened using iThenticate similarity detection software. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 15% (excluding references and quoted material) will be returned to authors for revision before review.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

The APC for accepted manuscripts is $900 USD. The APC is payable only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. Read the full APC policy →

Upon acceptance, authors retain copyright and grant AJIR a license to publish under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). This allows others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution.
